Report of accompanying the special investigation committee's verification process.
I accompanied Secretary Nogi from RBRA to the special investigation conducted by the Association for the Investigation of Specific Missing Persons in Ishikawa Prefecture. Secretary Nogi assisted with photography, and I assisted with video recording. Date: March 2, 2018 (Friday)
Location: Ishikawa Prefecture. The following is a summary of the verification.

① Nishiumi, Shiga Town, on the western side of the Noto Peninsula, Chinoura In Nishiumi, two boats that washed ashore on February 13th and January 24th, respectively, on a rocky beach were examined. The former, which was washed ashore near Amasaki Lighthouse, was a fairly small, flat-bottomed wooden boat, only slightly larger than a lake rowboat (5.6m long, 1.4m wide). The latter was a larger, flat-bottomed wooden boat (8.15m long, 1.9m wide, 1m high), with rags stuffed into what appeared to be a shaft-like pipe at the stern.
Moving to a slightly different location, the third boat, a 12m long, 2m wide vessel that drifted ashore on February 10th on the rocky shore of Senoura, is completely upside down with its flat bottom facing upwards. The number "505-64271" is written in red on the side of the bow, and pieces of wood with Korean writing are scattered around the vicinity. A flimsy plastic propeller is visible at the stern. When the ward chief, who was on patrol, discovered it, life jackets and ropes were entangled in it.
The orange life vest that Representative Araki found on the beach had the name "Pak" written in Hangul on the right shoulder and "Pak Nam-il" on the left shoulder, and on the back were numbers unique to North Korea (according to Representative Araki).
② In Yasuhara-cho, Kanazawa City, a wooden boat (16m long, 3m wide and 3m high) that drifted ashore on January 10th is in a state of disintegration, with the sides of the hull opening and closing with each wave. Seven bodies were found inside the boat and one body outside. Currently, the engine (made in China) and fuel tank (100L) can be seen, but the boat is being washed away by the waves and is disintegrating right before our eyes.
③ Misaki-cho, Kaga City: The wooden boat (18m long, 5m wide) that drifted ashore on February 11th on the tetrapod beach has lost all of its upper deck structures, but the lower deck remains almost completely intact. The number "504-66272" is written on the starboard bow. Representative Araki and Ishikawa Rescue Association Secretary-General Oguchi confirmed that life jackets and other items remain in the cargo hold.
Although no bodies were found, the fact that the deck and below remain intact suggests that it's possible the crew drifted ashore alive and came ashore.
④ 18:30 - "Gathering to Consider 'What Happened Afterwards' 4 in Ishikawa" at Nonoichi City Koyusha
The event began with a moment of silence for Mr. Park, the owner of the life jacket that Representative Araki found on the beach in Shiga Town. After all participants shared their thoughts, a discussion ensued, including the audience.
Because the sense of crisis on the ground is not being shared with other regions, there have been numerous suggestions and expressions of support for exhibiting actual drifting boats in Tokyo, Osaka, and other cities.
That's all.
